Sidari Waterpark Resort & Spa
- Toddler
- Kid
- Teen
Three large pools, two more for children, six waterslides, a playground and an inflatable castle, all free for guests. Sidari Waterpark is unashamedly a machine for entertaining 6 to 12 year olds, and on that narrow brief it delivers at a price almost nothing else on the island matches. What it is not is a beachfront hotel, a gourmet destination, or somewhere the slides are in showroom condition.

Our verdict
A slide factory at a budget price, and it knows it. Perfect for a family whose children measure a holiday in metres of flume and who will happily walk to the beach. Wrong for anyone who wants a calm bay or a good dinner.
The rooms
Straightforward rooms and family rooms in low blocks around the pools, with the water always within earshot. Nobody books this hotel for the decor: it is clean, it is functional, and the family rooms fit four. Ask for a room away from the slide towers if you have a toddler who naps in the afternoon, because the noise carries.

ποΈA day here with kids
- 9:00
Breakfast, then loungers
Claim a spot with sight lines to the slide run-outs. You will be watching from there all week.
- 10:00
Slides, round one
Coolest water and shortest queues of the day.
- 12:30
Lunch and shade
Shade is genuinely limited here. Take the break seriously in July.
- 15:00
Kids club or castle
The entertainment team takes over and you get an hour flat on your back.
- 18:00
Walk down to the bays
Sidari empties out of the sea in the evening. Best time to actually swim in it.
Family things to do nearby
The six slides
The whole reason to be here. Height rules apply on the bigger flumes, so check before you promise a five year old anything.
Inflatable castle
The under-6 answer to the big slides. Shade is limited, so it is a morning activity.
Canal d'Amour
Sidari's sandstone channels and small coves, a short walk away. Go early or late: at midday it is shoulder to shoulder.
Is it right for your kids?
Baby
0 to 1 yr
Not the place. No beach on site, limited shade, and the whole rhythm of the hotel is built around noise and slides.
Toddler
1 to 3 yrs
The two children's pools and the inflatable castle work, but height limits shut them out of the main event and they will notice.
Kid
4 to 11 yrs
Precisely the target. Six slides, two kids pools, a castle and a daily entertainment programme, all included.
Teen
12 yrs and up
The slides hold them for a few days. Sidari's strip is right there, which is either the appeal or the reason to stay elsewhere.

Parents also ask
Are the slides included or do we pay?
Included. Use of the pools, the six slides, the playground and the castle is free for hotel residents, which is exactly what makes this hotel worth its price.
Are the slides safe and well maintained?
They are supervised, but maintenance is the hotel's most common criticism. Reviewers describe ridges on the larger flumes that scrape your back. Test them yourself first.
Is Sidari too rowdy for a family?
It is one of Corfu's busier resort strips with a real bar scene, though it is nowhere near Kavos territory. Families are normal here; you just would not call the evenings peaceful.
How far is the beach?
The hotel is not beachfront. Sidari's sandy bays and the Canal d'Amour are a walk or a very short drive, which is fine for older children and tedious with a pram and beach kit.

Ikos Dassia
Rooms and suites spread through mature gardens running down to the sea, most with a balcony or terrace. Family rooms and two-bedroom suites give you a door to close at 8pm, and the bungalow suites with private garden or pool are the ones parents of toddlers keep rebooking. Cots, bottle sterilisers and bath supports are free on request, but ask early because stock is finite.

Roda Beach Resort & Spa
A big estate of low buildings and bungalows spread across gardens at the island's northern tip. Family rooms and bungalows sleep four comfortably; some are a genuine walk from the main pool and restaurant, so ask for something central if you have a toddler who naps. Standard rooms are functional rather than smart, and the newer refurbished blocks are noticeably better.

in Corfu
Canvas by Mitsis Messonghi
A very large beachfront estate between Moraitika and Messonghi villages, with rooms in low blocks and bungalows through the gardens. Family rooms take four; ask for one near the pools, because this site is long and the walk back for a forgotten armband is a real one. Rooms are comfortable and unremarkable, which at this price is the right trade.
