Troulos Bay is a friendly, family-run hotel in the simplest, best sense: a low block sitting directly behind Blue Flag Troulos beach, with the sea literally across the terrace. The pool has an L-shaped children's section, breakfast comes with a sea view, and the shallow, gently shelving bay out front is one of the safest paddling spots on the island. It is unfussy and great value, built for lazy beach days with little ones.

Our verdict
Troulos Bay is the one for parents of babies and toddlers who just want the sea on the doorstep: a calm, shallow Blue Flag beach a minute from a simple, friendly, good-value hotel, with a kids' pool section for a change of scene. Do not expect resort polish; do expect the easiest beach mornings of the trip.
The rooms
Simple, comfortable rooms, many with a balcony and sea or garden views, in a relaxed low-rise block right behind the beach. Rooms are practical rather than plush, with the odd family room and kitchenette option, so the appeal is waking up, stepping across the terrace and being on soft sand within a minute, which with young children counts for a great deal.

Parents also ask
How close is the beach, really?
Very close. The hotel sits directly behind Troulos beach, with the sand just across the terrace, around a minute's walk. For families with a baby or toddler, that short distance is the whole point of staying here.
Is the beach safe for toddlers?
Yes. Troulos is a Blue Flag beach with soft sand and a shallow, gently shelving entry, so toddlers can paddle safely under supervision. It is calmer than the open-sea beaches and a firm favourite with young families.
Does it have a kids club?
No, this is a simple family-run beach hotel rather than a resort, so there is no kids club. The draw is the pool with its children's section and the beach itself, which keep most young children happily busy.
Can we self-cater here?
Some rooms come with a kitchenette, which is handy for baby meals and early breakfasts, and Troulos has tavernas and a shop within easy walking distance. Confirm a kitchenette room at the time of booking if you need one.

Elivi spreads across several low-rise buildings and villas in the pines above Koukounaries and Banana beaches, and the family categories are genuinely generous: two-bedroom suites and villas, some with a private pool and a patch of garden, give parents a door to close on a sleeping baby. Cots and bed rails come free on request, and the larger villas comfortably take a family of four or five without anyone tripping over the buggy.
