Elivi is the island's smart, design-led flagship: a collection of low-key luxury hotels and villas set in pine right above two of the best sandy beaches in Greece, Koukounaries and Banana. It leans elegant rather than waterslide-loud, so it suits families who want calm, space, excellent food and a short barefoot walk to shallow, clear water rather than a big kids-club machine.

Our verdict
If the budget stretches, Elivi is the Skiathos stay families remember: barefoot access to two gorgeous shallow beaches, roomy suites and villas, and food worth staying in for. Pick it for calm and quality over a packed activity programme, and the whole family tends to leave happy.
The rooms
Elivi spreads across several low-rise buildings and villas in the pines above Koukounaries and Banana beaches, and the family categories are genuinely generous: two-bedroom suites and villas, some with a private pool and a patch of garden, give parents a door to close on a sleeping baby. Cots and bed rails come free on request, and the larger villas comfortably take a family of four or five without anyone tripping over the buggy.

Why families love it
- Steps from Koukounaries and Banana, two of the softest, sandiest beaches on Skiathos
- Low-rise luxury in the pines, with suites and villas that suit families who value space
- Several pools across the resort, plus direct, easy access to calm, shallow sea
- Standout restaurants and relaxed beach dining that keep fussy eaters and parents happy
- Quiet, green and polished rather than a noisy mega-resort, easy on frazzled parents

Parents also ask
Is Elivi adults-only?
No. Some corners of the resort feel quiet and couple-friendly, but Elivi genuinely welcomes families, with spacious family suites and villas and easy access to shallow beaches. Be clear when booking that you want a family-friendly building and room type.
Is the beach good for young children?
Yes. Koukounaries and Banana are soft sand with a gently shelving, usually calm sea, about as good as Greek island paddling gets for toddlers. Bring shade and water shoes for comfort on busy days.
Are cots and baby gear available?
Cots and bed rails are free on request and high chairs are available in the restaurants. Pre-order or bring specific formula and nappies to be safe, as island shops can be limited.
Do we need a car?
It helps. Elivi sits at the far west of the island, so a car or taxi makes trips to Skiathos Town and other beaches easier, though the resort and Koukounaries beach cover most of a relaxed week on their own.
