This is old-school resort Dubai, a huge green estate down at Jebel Ali with its own long private beach, gardens full of peacocks, stables, a small golf course and a marina. Children get grass to run on, which sounds trivial until you have spent a week on marble and concrete elsewhere in the city. The kids club, watersports and pony rides mean nobody needs a screen, and the whole place feels calm and contained in a way the beach towers do not. The trade-off is distance: you are a good half hour from the Marina and further from Downtown, so day trips need planning and taxis. If your idea of a family holiday is one big garden with a beach at the end of it, this is the address.

Our verdict

The antidote to high-rise Dubai. Choose it if you want a slow beach and garden week and are happy to taxi in for the city days.

🛏️

The rooms

Accommodation is spread across separate hotels inside one estate, from straightforward sea-view rooms to garden suites and low-rise blocks where you can step straight out onto grass. Family suites and connecting rooms are easy to find and the ground-floor options are a gift with toddlers.

🗓️A day here with kids

  1. 8:30

    Breakfast then the stables

Riding is only pleasant early, book the first slot of the day.

  2. 11:00

    Pool and kids club

Shade is easier to find here than at the beach towers, but claim it before eleven.

  3. 14:30

    Quiet hour indoors

Ground-floor rooms make the nap transfer painless.

  4. 17:00

Beach and a football on the lawn

The grass is the reason to be here, use it before dinner.

🐴

Pony ride at the stables

The on-site stables run short led rides for young children, best booked for early morning before the heat.

Peacock spotting walk

The gardens are full of free-roaming peacocks, which turns a walk back from dinner into a small safari.

Kayaks and paddleboards

The bay is sheltered and shallow near the shore, a forgiving place for a first go on a paddleboard.

Is it right for your kids?

👶Great fit

Baby

0 to 1 yr

Quiet, shaded gardens and low-rise rooms make pram life and naps genuinely easy compared with a city tower.

🧒Great fit

Toddler

1 to 3 yrs

Grass, shallow water and short distances. This is one of the gentlest set-ups for under-fours in Dubai.

🧑Great fit

Kid

4 to 11 yrs

Kids club, ponies, tennis, kayaks and a beach. This age gets a proper old-fashioned resort holiday.

🧑‍🎤Great fit

Teen

12 yrs and up

Watersports and golf help, but teenagers who want city buzz will ask for taxis into the Marina most evenings.

Parents also ask

Is it too far from Dubai's attractions?

It is 30 to 45 minutes by taxi to the Marina, Dubai Parks or Downtown depending on traffic. Fine for two or three outings in a week, tiring if you want the city every day.

Is the kids club included?

The supervised club is included for resort guests within its published age range and hours, while some activities such as riding lessons are charged separately.

Which building should we book?

With small children pick the low-rise, garden-access accommodation nearest the family pool. With teenagers a sea-view room in the main hotel makes more sense.
