The grandest family address on this coast, all marble and fountains, and unusually for a hotel of this style it takes children seriously. The kids club is split by age from one-to-threes through to a teens club, with a cinema, a library and its own quiet sleeping room, and the children's splash pool is heated with its own small slides. The beach in Sahl Hasheesh bay is wide, sandy and shallow for a long way out.

Book this when you want Egyptian prices to buy you actual luxury and you have a toddler who still needs a nap room. The age-split kids club is the best on this coast.
