Cattolica is the softly-spoken, well-kept town at the southern tip of the Riviera, and the Cormoran is its family pool hotel. The garden holds a big Olympic-style pool with a slide, a heated hydromassage tub and a separate children's pool, while the wide flat beach of Cattolica is a couple of minutes away. It is a calmer, more grown-up base than the party end of the coast.

There is a children's play area and a kids menu, but no full daily animation programme, so it suits families who prefer a calmer stay around the pools and beach.
Is Cattolica good for young children?
Very much so: the beach is wide, flat and shallow, the town is tidy and safe to walk, and there is an excellent aquarium for a change from the sand.
Is the Olympic pool safe for small kids?
The big pool is deep and made for swimming, so toddlers use the separate shallow children's pool, which is the right depth for paddling under supervision.
