Gardaland Hotel

The official hotel of Italy's biggest theme park, a two-minute walk from the Gardaland gates. What you are buying here is not the pool or the food, it is time: early park entry before the public opening, no morning drive, and the ability to walk back to the room when a five-year-old hits the wall at two in the afternoon. On a Gardaland trip that is worth more than any spa.

Our verdict
Book it if Gardaland is the point of the trip, for two or three nights, then move to the lake. It is a brilliant theme park hotel and an average lake hotel.
The rooms
Comfortable family rooms plus a set of heavily themed rooms (pirates, jungle, fairy tale) that your children will talk about for a year. Standard family rooms sleep four with a sofa bed, themed rooms cost more but include the theatre of a proper surprise.

Is it right for your kids?
Baby
0 to 1 yr
Doable but not the point. The park is loud and hot in summer, and there is no baby-specific provision at the hotel beyond a cot.
Toddler
1 to 3 yrs
Gardaland's Fantasy Kingdom area is well judged for this age, and being able to walk back for a nap is the whole argument for staying here.
Kid
4 to 11 yrs
Peak enjoyment. Height limits open up around 120cm and the themed rooms land squarely on this age group.
Teen
12 yrs and up
The big coasters deliver, though teens may find the hotel itself childish. Two nights is about right.

Parents also ask
Are park tickets included?
Packages usually bundle nights with park entry, but check what your rate covers. Early entry is the guest privilege that matters most.
Is the themed room worth the supplement?
For children roughly four to nine, yes. Above that the novelty fades and a standard family room is the better spend.
Can we combine it with the lake?
Easily. Peschiera and Lazise are around ten to fifteen minutes by car, so two nights here and five on the shore is the classic plan.

Hotel Caesius Thermae & Spa Resort
Elegant rooms and family suites in a low resort spread through gardens, most with a balcony over greenery or the lake. Family suites give you two connecting spaces, which matters when bedtimes are two hours apart.
