Hotel Cheyenne is a cowboy town brought to life, with Toy Story theming in the rooms and Wild West streets, a saloon and summer pony rides outside. It is one of the closest and best-value on-site hotels, about a ten-minute walk or a quick free shuttle from the parks. There is no swimming pool here, which is the main trade-off, but the fun theme, short walk and Extra Magic Time make it a firm family favourite.

Our verdict
A fun, affordable on-site base with a short walk to the gates and Extra Magic Time, best for families who will spend their days in the parks and do not need a hotel pool.
The rooms
Rooms are themed around Toy Story and sleep four, with a main double bed plus a daybed and a pull-out single, and cots on request. The layout works well for a family of four with two younger children, and the Wild West streets outside give kids somewhere to run before bed.

No, there is no pool at Hotel Cheyenne. If a pool matters for your family, choose Sequoia Lodge or Newport Bay Club on-site, or a partner hotel like Explorers.

in Disneyland Paris
Disney Hotel New York, The Art of Marvel
Superior family rooms sleep up to four and connecting rooms are available for larger groups, with premium bedding, a cot on request and space for a pram. The rooms are the smartest on the resort, dressed in a slick New York style, and the sound-proofing means a baby can nap while older kids are still buzzing about Iron Man.

in Disneyland Paris
Disney Newport Bay Club
Superior rooms sleep up to four, with family rooms, lake-view rooms and terrace options, plus cots on request. This is a big hotel with over a thousand rooms, so ask for a room near the lifts if you have a pram and a lot of floors between you and the pool.

in Disneyland Paris
Disney Sequoia Lodge
Standard rooms sleep four with two double beds, decorated with woodland creatures from Bambi, and cots are available on request. Rooms are spread across several lodges in the grounds, so if you have a pram it is worth asking for the main building to cut down on outdoor walks in the rain.
