Chia Laguna, Hotel Village
- Baby
- Toddler
- Kid
- Teen
The Hotel Village is the family heart of the Chia Laguna resort, on one of the prettiest stretches of the south coast near the celebrated Su Giudeu beach. There is a kids club spanning ages 3 to 17, a dedicated children's pool and play area, Chia Academies (football, padel, fencing) for older kids, and a Baby Welcome kit for the youngest. A little train shuttles guests to the beach club, which keeps the walk manageable with children.

Our verdict
A strong all-round family village near one of Sardinia's best beaches, with clubs from toddlers to teens. Book the Hotel Village (not the adult-leaning sister hotels) and bring cash for the pricey beach kiosk.
The rooms
The most family-focused of the Chia Laguna hotels, with rooms and family rooms spread through a green, village-style resort. Family rooms handle two adults and two children, and the layout, with a little train down to the beach, is built around children rather than couples.

Parents also ask
How do you get to the beach?
It is a roughly 15 minute walk, or you can take the resort's little shuttle train to the Campana beach club, which is easier with young children.
Is it good value?
The setting and clubs are excellent, but on-site food and beach club prices are high. Bringing your own snacks and using the free public beach kiosk helps a lot.

Hotel Cala di Volpe, a Luxury Collection Hotel
An icon of Costa Smeralda designed to look like a Mediterranean fishing village, with rooms and suites full of terracotta, timber and handmade tiles. Connecting rooms and larger suites work for families, but this is a grown-up luxury hotel first: there is no wall-to-wall family kit, and the family offering sits alongside a very adult scene.
