Caravan is Habitas's playful little sibling, a cluster of gleaming Airstream trailers in a palm-filled canyon twenty minutes north of AlUla town, and it is quietly one of the more fun places in the valley for children. There is a desert jungle gym and a teddy bear tent for little ones, three food trucks serving pizza, ice cream and juices in a family-style setting, and an adventure programme (canyon crossings, horse riding, desert skills) aimed squarely at active kids and teens. The trade-off is honest: the trailers are compact studios with no separate bedroom, so they work best for a couple with one or two children, and there is no proper pool on site, so water play is limited. For a short, memorable, budget-lighter leg of an AlUla trip, though, it is genuinely charming.

Our verdict
The fun, wallet-friendlier option for families with one or two children who will love the Airstream novelty and the little playground. Weigh the compact single-room layout and the lack of a pool before you book a long stay.
The rooms
Twenty-two polished Airstream trailers, each with a queen bed (or two singles), an indoor lounge, a kitchenette and a private shower, set among date palms and rock walls. They are compact by design, so they suit a couple with one or two children rather than a big family, and there is no separate bedroom, which is the thing to weigh with a light-sleeping baby.

Is it right for your kids?
Baby
0 to 1 yr
Doable but tight: the trailers are single-room studios with no separate space, so a baby's naps happen in the same room as everyone else.
Toddler
1 to 3 yrs
The on-site playground and teddy bear tent are a real plus at this age, though the lack of a pool limits water play.
Kid
4 to 11 yrs
This age gets the most out of Caravan, between the Airstream novelty, the playground and the adventure activities.
Teen
12 yrs and up
Teens enjoy the canyon crossings, horse riding and the Instagram-ready trailers, though they may miss a pool.

Parents also ask
Is there a swimming pool?
No, Caravan does not have a proper pool on site, which is its main limitation on hot afternoons. Many families pair a stay here with a pool-equipped resort elsewhere in the valley.
Will an Airstream fit our family?
Each trailer is a compact single-room studio best suited to a couple with one or two children. There is no separate bedroom, so larger families or those with a light-sleeping baby may find it tight.
Are teenagers charged as adults?
Yes, children aged 13 and over are generally charged at the adult rate here, so factor that in for families with teens. Confirm the exact policy for your dates when booking.

Banyan Tree AlUla
Standalone tented villas spread along the canyon floor, from one bedroom up to a three-bedroom villa that sleeps a whole family in comfort, and most come with their own private pool and a fire pit outside. Cots and high chairs are provided on request, and because each villa is its own separate structure you get real space and quiet for a baby's nap rather than a thin hotel wall.

Our Habitas AlUla
A spread of freestanding villas among the palm groves, each with a private deck and canyon views, in Alcove, Canyon and Celestial styles that mostly hold a family of three to four. Children stay free in the parent's villa, cots come on request, and a handful of larger villas suit bigger families, so ask about the two-key or connecting options when you book.

Shaden Resort AlUla
A big range of chalet-style rooms and larger units, from standard doubles up to family rooms and a six-bedroom Royal Suite, with some rooms offering their own private pool. Cots can be arranged and the family formats and multi-room suites make this one of the easier AlUla properties for a larger family or two families travelling together.
