Zoe is the friendly, affordable heart of Gialova, a family-run resort that was the village's very first hotel back in the 1970s and still feels personal. A huge 250 square-metre freshwater pool sits in shady gardens, the sandy beach is 30 seconds away, and miles of soft sand run north to famous Voidokilia. Gialova's little pedestrian street of tavernas and shops is a stroll from the door, so evenings are easy. There is no kids club, but with shallow calm water, a big pool and low-key village life, younger children are very happy here.

The rooms
Family-run and family-shaped: two-room Family Suites for four with a double and a twin, plus top-floor loft rooms, all air-conditioned and set in mature gardens. The layout keeps parents and children in the same suite with a door between, and cots come on request, an easygoing, unfussy base a few steps from the sand.
