This is the classic French holiday village done well: a huge pine-covered estate above the red rocks of the Esterel with four pools including slides and a lazy river, a genuinely free kids club from age six months through school holidays, and a miniature train down to the beach at Agay. It is not glamorous, but children run free here and parents can properly switch off.

Our verdict

One of the best value, most genuinely kid-friendly bases on this coast, thanks to the free club and the sheer scale of the pool complex. Book if you want children entertained without constant parental involvement.
