This is the toddler and baby specialist of the Saadiyat beach resorts, thanks to a kids' club that takes children from just six months and a huge beach-entry pool with a lazy river and slides that small children can actually enjoy. It sits on the same nine-kilometre stretch of protected white-sand beach, with loungers, gentle shallows and a genuinely calm sea, and the Explorers kids' club splits into an under-fives space and an over-fives space so the little ones are not swept along with big kids. Evening childcare means parents can have a quiet dinner, which is rare and precious with a baby in tow. The trade-off is the same as its Saadiyat neighbours: the Yas Island theme parks are a 20 to 25 minute drive and tickets are extra, so this is a beach-first stay.

Our verdict
The pick for families with a baby or toddler: a six-month kids' club, a beach-entry pool with a lazy river, and a calm protected beach add up to the easiest Abu Dhabi week with very small children. Keep the theme parks as an optional day trip rather than the point of the stay.
The rooms
Spacious rooms and standalone villas with private space, several genuinely family-sized layouts, and connecting options that give older kids their own room. Cots and high chairs are standard, and the villas suit larger families or two families travelling together.

Parents also ask
Is it really good for a baby?
Yes, it is the standout Saadiyat resort for the very youngest: the kids' club takes children from six months, the pool has a gentle beach entry, and there is evening childcare. Cots and high chairs come as standard.
How far are the theme parks?
The Yas Island parks are a 20 to 25 minute drive and tickets are not included, so plan them as a day trip. If the parks are the main goal, a Yas Island hotel with free access is the better base.
Are the villas worth it for a family?
For larger families or two families together, the villas give real separate space and privacy. For a standard family of four, the family rooms and connecting options are usually enough.
