Porto Carras is a resort on its own scale: a huge estate on the greener, quieter Sithonia peninsula, with several beaches, a marina, a golf course, a working vineyard and a free kids club. For families it means everything in one place, from watersports and horse riding to boat trips from the private harbour. It is less polished than the Kassandra flagships but hard to beat for sheer variety and Sithonia's calm, pine-backed coast.
