Liberty Lykia, the family resort formerly known as Lykia World Ölüdeniz, is a self-contained village on its own stretch of pine-backed coast near the Blue Lagoon. At its heart is Kids Paradise, a free children's water park with slides, a pirate forest and a treasure island, backed by six restaurants and 650 metres of private beach. It is the pick for families who want one big gated world that entertains every age for a week. Note the adults-only Liberty Lykia Adults Only next door is a separate 16-plus hotel, not this one.

Our verdict
For sheer value as a family playground, Liberty Lykia is hard to beat near Ölüdeniz: a free water park the children will not want to leave, a private beach and acres of pine to roam. Accept the scale and the walks, book a central room, and you get a week that keeps toddlers to teens happy in one place.
The rooms
Accommodation is spread through a huge pine estate in low buildings and bungalows, with family rooms and connecting options that keep everyone close. The scale is the trade-off: a sea-view room can be a hike from the main pool, so ask for something central with young children. Cots are free on request and the family categories give parents real room to spread out a week's worth of kid clutter.

Parents also ask
Is this the adults-only Lykia hotel?
No. Liberty Lykia is the family resort, formerly Lykia World Ölüdeniz. The adults-only property next door, Liberty Lykia Adults Only (16 plus), is a separate hotel, so double-check the exact name when you book.
Is the water park free?
Yes, the Kids Paradise children's water park is included for guests, with slides and themed play areas. Terms on inclusions can change, so it is worth confirming directly with the resort before you travel.
How far is the beach and the Blue Lagoon?
The resort has its own 650-metre private beach on a calm bay. The famous Blue Lagoon lido at Ölüdeniz is a short drive or boat trip away and makes an easy half-day out with children.
Is it too big for a family with a baby?
The scale suits active families more than those with a very young baby, mainly because of the walking and slopes. If you go, ask for a central room near the main pool and bring or hire a sturdy pushchair.

Hilton Dalaman Sarigerme Resort & Spa
Rooms are set across low garden blocks, and the family categories matter here: standard family rooms are two interconnecting rooms, so parents and children each get a door to close, and the two-level Family Duplex suites suit a party with teenagers who want their own floor. Cots and high chairs are free on request, and the layout keeps a napping baby apart from the evening balcony.

TUI BLUE Sarigerme Park
Rooms are tidy and modern, and the two-bedroom family villas sleep up to five with twin beds and a double sofa bed, so children get their own room. Free cribs and infant beds are available and the rooms are soundproofed, which parents of light-sleeping babies will appreciate. A calm, well-kept base rather than a flashy one.

Belcekiz Beach Club
Rooms are set in low blocks around the pools, a short, flat walk from the beachfront, with family and larger apartment-style options for bigger groups. Cots are available on request. Nothing is far here, which is the real appeal with young children: beach, pool, room and restaurants all sit within a couple of minutes of each other.
