Katathani sprawls along almost the whole of quiet Kata Noi, one of the prettiest and calmest beaches in south Phuket. Six swimming pools, three kids pools and a couple of small water slides mean the children rarely run out of water, and the two-level Club Tully kids club is a genuine highlight. It is a big, well-run classic that families return to year after year, helped by a beach that stays gentle for much of the dry season. The trade-off is a location away from the busier hubs, which for many parents is exactly the appeal.
The rooms
The Pool Access Family Room sleeps two adults and three children under twelve, with a bunk bed, trundle beds and a small fenced plunge pool on the terrace. Families tend to prefer the Bhuri Wing across the road, which sits closest to the kids pool and Club Tully.
