Playa d'en Bossa is best known for beach clubs, but the far southern end where this resort sits is the calmer family stretch, with direct access to a long white-sand beach. It is a proper all-inclusive machine for families: a nursery with qualified nannies, a mini club, a teen club with cinema and video games, pools with slides, and shared run of the sister White Island resort next door. It is big and busy, which under-tens tend to love.

Our verdict
The full-on family all-inclusive: clubs for every age and two resorts to roam. Stay at the southern Palace end and you keep the beach without the party.
The rooms
Big all-inclusive resort with family rooms that sleep four and interconnecting options, plus you can use the facilities of the neighbouring White Island resort. Rooms are comfortable and practical rather than boutique.
