Dreams took over the former Quinta do Lorde village at the wild eastern tip of Madeira and turned it into the island's only full unlimited all-inclusive resort: every restaurant, every snack, every juice, all covered. Is everything really included?
Meals at all restaurants, snacks, drinks and the kids club are included. Boat trips, spa treatments and diving cost extra.
Do we need a hire car?
Not for the resort itself. For exploring Funchal, the levadas and the north coast, yes, count on it for at least a few days.
Is it windy at the east tip?
Often breezier than Funchal or Calheta, yes, but the pools are set in sheltered spots and the microclimate is one of the driest on the island.
