La Rosière is the sunny, gentle, family-first side of the Espace San Bernardo, with easy slopes on the doorstep and the novelty of skiing across to La Thuile in Italy for lunch. Club Med's village is ski-in, ski-out with lift passes, ESF ski school for the children, all meals and drinks and the Mini Club, making it one of the softest landings for a young family.

Family favourite

Our verdict

A gentle, sunny, ski-in ski-out week built for young families finding their ski legs, with the bonus of a lunchtime hop into Italy.

🛏️

The rooms

Warm, chalet-style family rooms and connecting suites sleep four to five, with plenty facing the valley and the sun. Cots, bottle warmers and a boot room mean the practical side of skiing with small children is handled without cluttering the bedroom.

Parents also ask

Is La Rosière a good choice for first-time skiers?

Yes. It has wide, gentle, sunny beginner runs right by the village and a calm, family atmosphere, which makes it one of the easier resorts for children and nervous parents to start on.

Can we really ski to Italy?

Yes. La Rosière links over the ridge to La Thuile in Italy via the Espace San Bernardo, so confident skiers can ski across for an Italian lunch and back, all on one lift pass.

What childcare is available for the youngest?

Baby Club Med welcomes babies from 4 to 23 months and Petit Club Med covers 2 to 3 year olds, both supervised by trained staff at an extra charge. From age 4, the Mini Club Med and ski lessons are included.
