Breezes is the family favourite that still feels personal, a mid-size resort on the quiet southeast coast run with genuine warmth. The children's club, a games room and even a small cinema room give parents real breaks, and the activity list for kids is huge: guided reef walks, sandcastle-building, cookery workshops, palm-weaving and Swahili lessons. Two children under twelve stay free in a Deluxe Room, which softens the cost. The beach is east coast with a strong tide, so the pool and morning sea are your friends, and the calm setting away from the crowds is a big part of the charm.

Deluxe Rooms take up to two children under twelve free when sharing with parents, and there are larger rooms and family arrangements with extra beds. Ask about connecting or garden rooms near the pool and the children's club for the smoothest days with little ones.

Park Hyatt Zanzibar
Right on the Stone Town seafront, Park Hyatt has generous rooms and suites, several of which connect or take an extra bed for a child. Cots and highchairs come on request and there are some child-friendly menu choices. There is no kids club, but this is the rare Stone Town hotel with a real pool and a bit of beach, so it works as a comfortable one or two-night city base at the start or end of a beach trip rather than a week-long family resort.
