Two Cycladic islands of long, shallow sand, calmer and gentler than the party islands next door
🏖️Naxos & Paros
Greece
Actualizado el 1 July 2026
If you want the whitewashed Cyclades but with a beach a baby can actually use, Naxos and Paros are the pair to book. Both are ringed with long, pale, sandy beaches that shelve so gently a toddler can wade out a surprising distance with the water still at their knees: Agios Prokopios, Agia Anna and four-kilometre Plaka on Naxos; Golden Beach, Santa Maria and gentle Livadia on Paros. They are calmer, greener and far less frantic than nearby Santorini or Mykonos, with real Greek village life, working farms and tavernas where children are welcomed rather than tolerated. The two islands sit a 30 to 45 minute ferry apart, so many families split a week between them. The honest catch is the meltemi, the summer wind that can pick up in July and August, so pick a sheltered bay or a hotel with a pool for the breezy afternoons.

Por qué funciona con niños
- Long, shallow sandy beaches: Agios Prokopios, Agia Anna and Plaka on Naxos, Livadia and Golden Beach on Paros all shelve gently for safe paddling
- Calmer than the party islands: no cruise-ship crush or nightlife scene, just village squares, tavernas and slow beach days
- Walkable town bases: Naxos Town and Parikia let you do beach, dinner and the ferry all on foot, no hire car required
- Real Greek life: working farms, family-run hotels and tavernas where a toddler is genuinely welcome
- Easy island-hopping: a short ferry links the two, so one trip can sample both
Las mejores zonas para alojarse
- 1Naxos, Agios Georgios: the shallowest town beach, steps from Naxos Town, ideal for a no-car baby holiday
- 2Naxos, Agios Prokopios and Agia Anna: Blue Flag sand and calm, gently shelving water with a good line of family hotels
- 3Naxos, Plaka: four kilometres of soft, shallow sand, quieter and greener, best with a hire car
- 4Paros, Parikia and Livadia: gentle sand a short walk from the ferry, the easy arrival-day base
- 5Paros, Naoussa and Kolymbithres: sheltered rock-pool coves with some of the calmest water on the island
- 6Paros, Golden Beach and Santa Maria: broad sandy sweeps that are lovely on calm mornings but catch the meltemi later
