The Mulia is Nusa Dua turned up to full volume: six pools, a long private beach and suites the size of small apartments. For families it hits a sweet spot that few Bali resorts manage, being genuinely glamorous for parents yet packed with things for children, from a splash pool with slides to two kids clubs and a beach bouncy castle. It sits on the quiet southern tip of Nusa Dua, a calm, gated resort area with none of the scooter chaos of the south, so you can let older kids roam a little. It is a splurge, but it delivers the polished, easy, sun-soaked week that a long-haul trip with children is supposed to be.

Las habitaciones
Everything here is oversized, and that works in a family's favour. Even entry-level suites run to 130 sqm with a separate living area and space for two adults and two children under twelve, so no one is climbing over a suitcase. Ocean-facing suites put the calm Geger Beach lagoon a lift ride away, and the villas add private pools and multiple bedrooms for larger groups. Cots come free on request, and the sheer size of the rooms makes early bedtimes and toddler naps far less of a battle.

How far is it from the airport?
About thirty to forty minutes by car in normal traffic, one of the shorter transfers in Bali, which helps at the end of a long-haul flight.
