Kuramathi is one of the great all-round family islands, a lush, walkable strip in Rasdhoo Atoll with a legendary natural sandbank that grows and shrinks with the tide. The Bageecha Kids Club takes ages 3 to 12 and welcomes under-fours with a parent or babysitter, so even the littlest travellers have a base. You can reach it by a scenic twenty-minute seaplane or a longer speedboat, and once there the calm lagoons, shaded playgrounds and easy dining make days flow. It manages the rare trick of pleasing couples and families at once.

Beach Villas near the Bageecha Kids Club are the practical family pick, with calm lagoon beaches a step away and cots provided free. The famous sandbank at the tip of the island is a short stroll, and toddler-friendly dining takes the stress out of mealtimes.

Can we bring a baby to the kids club?
The Bageecha club is for ages 3 to 12, but it welcomes under-fours with a parent or a paid babysitter, so younger children are not shut out.
Should we take the seaplane or the speedboat?
The seaplane is a scenic twenty minutes but daylight only, while the speedboat is 75 to 90 minutes and can be bumpy, so weigh flight times against sea legs.
Is the sandbank always there?
It is a natural feature that shifts with the tide, largest at low tide, which is when it is best for little ones to wade and play.
