Sequoia Lodge trades the city styling of the other hotels for a cosy American national-park feel, all timber and stone among the pines on the shore of Lake Disney, about a fifteen-minute walk from the parks. Families come for the two heated pools, one of which has water games and a slide, set in a genuinely lovely woodland setting. As an on-site Disney hotel it includes Extra Magic Time, and the calm lakeside grounds are a nice antidote after a loud day in the parks.

Standard rooms sleep four with two double beds, decorated with woodland creatures from Bambi, and cots are available on request. Rooms are spread across several lodges in the grounds, so if you have a pram it is worth asking for the main building to cut down on outdoor walks in the rain.

Is the pool good for young children?
Yes. There are two heated pools, one with water games and a gentle slide, in a woodland setting, which makes it one of the more fun on-site pools for children.
Are all rooms in one building?
No. Rooms are split between the main building and several outer lodges in the grounds. With a pram or small children, ask for the main building to reduce outdoor walks in poor weather.
