Centara Grand is the water park resort at the quiet southern end of Karon, and for a certain age of child it is close to perfect. The centrepiece is a proper aquatic playground with waterslides, a lazy river and a dedicated kids pool, backed up by a Camp Safari club for ages four to nine and an E-Zone for ten to seventeen. That teen club is rare and useful, so this is one of the few Phuket resorts that keeps older kids happy too. The beach is just across the road, and Karon village puts restaurants and shops within easy reach.
Las habitaciones
Deluxe Family Rooms and family suites sleep four, and many connect so larger groups can open a door between two rooms. Cots are free on request, and the layout keeps most families a short walk from the water park and the kids clubs. Ask for a room facing the pools rather than the road if you want the little ones to nap without street noise.
