Olhuveli is the family island that keeps the maths simple: two kids up to fifteen stay and eat free, and the Maakaana kids club is free too. It spreads across three connected islands in South Male, with three pools including one for children and a long, shallow, wade-forever lagoon that toddlers adore. The forty-five-minute speedboat means no seaplane, and the water sports centre is one of the liveliest in the country. It is relaxed, generous and refreshingly unfussy about children.
