More resort than tower, this Park Hyatt spreads along the southern Corniche around its own marina, with an infinity pool that reaches out towards the Red Sea and gardens that make it feel a world away from the traffic. Families get a genuinely lovely pool setting, a marina to wander, and Friday brunch at Nafoura where children get face painting, a bouncy castle and their own buffet. The honest caveat for parents of little ones is the pool rules: the main leisure and spa pools are gender-segregated in the Saudi way, so a small child swims with the same-sex parent, and the dedicated Camp Hyatt play space sits inside the ladies' spa for the very youngest. For couples with older children who love a beautiful pool and a calm, green setting, it is one of the nicest bases in the city.

Can our whole family swim together?
It depends on the pool and the ages: the main leisure and spa pools follow the local gender-segregation arrangement, so young children swim with the same-sex parent. Ask the team on arrival which pool works for your family and at what times.
Is there a proper kids' club?
There is a small Camp Hyatt play space for the youngest inside the ladies' spa, and the weekly Friday brunch is the big kids' event, but this is not a resort with an all-day supervised club. For that, an Obhur beach resort suits better.
Is it good in summer?
The heat and humidity are intense from June to September, but the two temperature-controlled indoor pools mean the children can keep swimming, and the gardens and marina give shaded space. Winter is still the easier family season.
