Kuredu is the Maldives as an all-inclusive activity island, and families with kids from toddler age up love the range on offer. There is a brand-new kids club with a pirate ship, ball pit and climbing wall, a children's pool, a golf course, world-class diving and a genuinely relaxed, unstuffy feel. It sits in Lhaviyani Atoll, reached by a forty-minute seaplane or a domestic flight plus speedboat, so it is more of a commitment than the airport islands. Kuredu is a big, lively, activity-packed island with a wide, good-value spread of rooms, from Beach Bungalows to Pool Villas and larger family units. The family-friendly beach rooms sit near the sparkling new kids club and the children's pool, and cots are provided on request. It is a sprawling island, so ask for a room central to the kids club and main restaurant to keep walks short with little legs.
