Yes. There is a small aqua park with slides, plus a children's pool that has its own little slide for the younger ones. It is included for guests. It is a modest park rather than a mega one, which suits younger families more than slide-hungry teens.
Is the sea gentle for younger children?
Soma Bay's sheltered sand is gentler than the reef beaches of Makadi, so the shallows here are easier for younger children to paddle in. As always on the Red Sea, keep an eye out for the odd rocky or reef patch and pack beach shoes to be safe.
Is it worth paying more for a neighbouring resort?
It depends on your priority. Caribbean World is the value pick, with slides and a sandy beach at a lower price. If you want refined food and finish, or a bigger water park, the pricier Soma Bay resorts deliver more, but they cost noticeably more too.
